Liveness is an AI-powered facial recognition feature that compares photos taken during the assessment against the picture extracted from the submitted ID document to ensure that the client is the one completing the assessment and that the document is accurate to them.
The Platform engine analyses the images captured by the client during the Liveliness process and compares them with the photo from the submitted ID. Here, the higher the “Face Match” value set in the KYC Profile, the higher percentage of match will be required between the ID and the captured images.
To activate this feature, you can turn on the following Liveness rules in the KYC Profile:
Once activated, an individual will be requested to take photos of themselves using the camera on their device before moving on. The pictures can then be reviewed in the Corporate Report as with the rest of the information gathered.
Please note that Liveness is not recommended for Corporate checks to identify the Directors as the individual completing the assessment in these cases is not normally the Director(s). If you would like to use Liveness to identify directors, we recommend creating separate assessments for each director/shareholder.
